Assignment according to the Convention on International Interests in Mobile Equipment

Generally speaking assignment is a term used to denote a transfer of rights pertaining to one party to another party. Mainly the transfer refers to the right to receive the benefits accruing to one of the parties of the contract. In the present article assignment is analyzed in the light of the Cape Town Convention of 2001 on International Interests in Mobile Equipment that was ratified by Ukrainian state in 2012. According to the Cape Town Convention assignment means a contract which, whether by way of security or otherwise, confers on the assignee associated rights with or without a transfer of the related international interest. icpdf
